PM Modi Inaugurates the Global Partnership AI Summit event
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit on December 12 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, his office said on Monday.
According to a statement published by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), GPAI is a multi-stakeholder initiative with 29 member nations that strives to bridge the gap between theory and practice on artificial intelligence by funding cutting-edge research and applied initiatives on AI-related objectives.
In 2024, India will be the GPAI's main chair.
According to the announcement, Prime Minister Modi will open the GPAI Summit on December 12 at roughly 5 p.m. at Bharat Mandapam.
India will host the annual GPAI Summit from December 12-14 as one of the founding members of GPAI in 2020, the current incoming support chair of GPAI, and the lead chair of GPAI in 2024, according to the statement.
During the summit, there will be a variety of seminars on themes such as AI and global health, education and skilling, AI and data governance, and ML Workshop, among others.
Other highlights of the summit include the Research Symposium, the AI Game Changers Award, and the India AI Expo.
According to the announcement, more than 50 GPAI specialists and over 150 speakers from various nations will attend the conference.
Additionally, prominent AI game changers from across the world will be present at various events, including Intel, Reliance Jio, Microsoft, Google, AWS, Yotta, Meta, Netweb, Paytm, NIC, STPI, Mastercard, Immerse, Jio Haptik, and Bhashini, among others.
In addition, students who won the YUVA AI initiative and start-ups will present their AI models and solutions, according to the announcement.
