Prashant Kishor hits back at Deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha as Political drama Rises Amid Bihar Election
Political strategist and Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has hit out at Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary for his bold claim that the NDA will easily win the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Kishor advised Chaudhary to focus on his own constituency first before boasting about a statewide victory.
PK’s Sharp Dig at Deputy CM
Kishor took a sarcastic jibe at Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, saying that Chaudhary had earlier claimed a comfortable BJP victory.
The Jan Suraaj founder said that the BJP leader should worry about winning his own constituency, Tarapur, first, rather than commenting on the overall performance of the BJP and NDA.
“Samrat Chaudhary should tell if he is winning Tarapur or losing it. Samrat Chaudhary is such a big leader, but he is doing other people’s rallies like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh. If he is so confident, then they could have won based on the work they have done,” Kishor told reporters.
PK VS Vijay Sinha
Another Deputy CM, Vijay Kumar Sinha, was seen lashing out at Lakhisarai Superintendent of Police and demanding deployment of a "special force" after his convoy was attacked by people he claimed were supporters of the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Reacting to the incident, Kishor said that Sinha's remarks confirm the "chaal, charitra and chehra (conduct, character, and image)" of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in Bihar.
Highest Ever Voting Percentage
The final voter turnout in the first phase, which concluded on Thursday (November 6), was recorded at 64.66%. It is the highest-ever figure since 1951, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
“Over 3.75 crore voters came out in large numbers to cast their ballot in 121 Assembly constituencies across 18 districts. The voting was peaceful,” the ECI said.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar congratulated electors for the record voter turnout in the first phase of the Assembly elections.
He also urged people to exercise their franchise with the same enthusiasm in the second round of polling on November 11.
While the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising of BJP, JD(U), HAMS, LJP (RV), and others, is looking to retain power for a second term, the Mahagathbandhan, consisting of Congress, RJD, left parties, and VIP, is looking to get back to power.
Jan Suraaj party has also made a debut this year and is contesting in more than 200 seats on its own.
