Kia Syros Bookings Open Jan 3: Premium SUV Features at ₹9–16 Lakh Price Range, Stylish Design with Safety on Top
Kia India has introduced the Kia Syros 2025, a bold and stylish compact SUV that will redefine its segment. It is scheduled to be launched in January 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Show. This will be Kia's fifth SUV for the Indian market. Bookings will start on January 3, 2025, and deliveries will begin in early February. The price is expected to be between ₹9 lakh and ₹16 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Syros promises a package of style, technology, and performance, making it a segment-changer.
A New Breed of SUV
A fusion of the futuristic Kia EV9 has inspired the Kia Syros with a muscular design, vertical LED daytime running lights, and strong front detailing. 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and flush door handles run across its sleek profile at the rear, with wrap-around LED taillights creating a modern and distinct look.
Premium Inside and Out
The inside of the Kia Syros is filled with high-tech features that target comfort and convenience. A 30-inch panoramic dual-screen setup integrates a digital driver's display and a touchscreen infotainment system.
It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin is elevated by ventilated front and rear seats, a sliding second row, twin USB-C ports, a wireless charger, and a 360-degree parking camera. The panoramic sunroof adds an airy, luxurious feel.
Safety at Its Core
The Kia Syros takes safety seriously. Its Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) offer 16 smart features, such as lane-keep assist and forward collision avoidance. Six airbags, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist are standard, making it one of the safest choices in its class or category.
Power-Packed Performance
Two engine options cater to varied driving needs in the Kia Syros. The petrol version comes with a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.
The diesel option features a 1.5-litre engine producing 116 bhp and 250 Nm, with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Competition and Positioning
Syros would target a premium customer who could even conflict with competitors Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and one coming from Skoda – the Kylaq. Placed between the Kia Seltos and Sonet, it will add weight to Kia's portfolio within India's competitive SUV space.
