Samsung's next-generation foldable, Galaxy Z Fold 7, has appeared in leaked real-world images just days ahead of its official debut. The leaks not only confirm major design shifts but also hint at a striking new look and upgraded specs, making this the brand’s most refined foldable yet.

A Bold New Look with Blue Shadow Finish

The standout feature is the Blue Shadow finish. A deep, polished shade that draws inspiration from Galaxy S24 series. This color aims to balance elegance with a modern edge, instantly setting the Fold 7 apart from its predecessors.

Slimmer, Sleeker, and More Portable Design

Design-wise, Fold 7 has gone through a clear transformation. It looks slimmer, sleeker, and more pocket-friendly than ever. Reports peg the folded thickness at around 8.9mm and just 4.2mm when opened. Its lighter weight of 215 grams adds to the comfort, making it easier to handle for long durations.

Camera System Gets a Premium Upgrade

Samsung has redesigned the camera setup as well. Fold 7 drops the under-display selfie camera from its earlier model. Instead, it returns to a hole-punch design, likely improving image quality. 

On the back, three vertically aligned cameras now sit in a more premium-looking housing. The primary sensor is expected to be a 200MP lens, likely shared with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Bigger Displays for Enhanced Usability and Flagship Performance, and Software

The outer display has been upgraded to 6.5 inches, improving usability while folded. Once unfolded, the 8.2-inch inner screen offers a broad and immersive view.

Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powers the device, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Android 16-based One UI 8 is set to run the software experience, and a 4,400mAh battery supports fast charging at 25W.

Launch Set for Galaxy Unpacked Event in July

Samsung plans to introduce Galaxy Z Fold 7 officially on July 9, 2025, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York. The foldable will share the stage with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Watch 8 lineup.
