Following a box office success in cinemas, Maa is set to make its digital debut. As per market sources, Netflix has the streaming rights, and they will be releasing the film by late August 2025. This is in line with the regular Bollywood film time of about 45-60 days from cinemas to OTT, but no date has been provided. 

Plot: A Mother's Struggle against Evil

Set in the cursed village of Chandrapur, Maa details the life journey of Ambika (Kajol), a grieving mother whose life is turned upside down by the mysterious death of her husband. Going through the contents of her ancestral house , she learns about the disappearances of young girls and the fact that no trace of their existence remains in the village. This erasure is caused by an ancient demonic force.

After learning these facts , Ambika assumes a horrific form to protect her daughter, calling upon the wrath of Maa Kali to eliminate the evil that plagues the village. This film provides a unique combination of horror and emotional drama, with maternal love, sacrifice, and divine wrath being the themes.
