Chris Martin’s Concert to Feature Coldplay Kiss Cam Despite Andy Byron’s Notorious Cheating Scandal

Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, a famous British rock band, doesn’t seem to be affected by the viral cheating scandal that happened in Massachusetts. He continues to feature the kiss cam segment in his concerts. 

His statement came right after the scandal involving Astronomer's CEO, Andy Byron, and  Kristin Cabot, Astronomer's former HR Chief, made the headlines.

Chris Martin on Keeping Kiss Cam, Despite the Viral Mishap

Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, has shared some interesting views on continuing to feature the kiss cam. Martin light-heartedly talked about the Byron and Cabot scandal at one of the stops during the ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ in England.

He said, “We are so happy to be here. Many of you have written signs. So, I’ll take some time to try and read some signs. Then we’ll see what happens.” In response to his remarks, one of the concert attendants shared that they were in the concert where the viral cheating incident occurred.

Martin acknowledged the fan and thanked them for returning to the concert, despite the kiss cam controversy. He further remarked that the viral scandal won’t affect the kiss cam segment in the Coldplay concert. 

He said, “We’ve been doing it a long time, and it is only recently that it became a…yeah. Life throws you lemons, and you’ve got to make lemonade. So, we will keep doing it because we are going to meet some of you.”

What Caused the Viral Andy Byron Kiss Cam Scandal?

It all began on 16 July, when Andy Byron and his former HR Chief, Kristin Cabot, appeared on the Jumbotron screen during a Coldplay concert. Byron and Cabot were surprised when their footage of embracing each other was displayed on the big screen. They both were caught hiding their faces, trying to escape the situation. 

Shortly after this incident, both Byron and Cabot resigned from Astronomer. The company has temporarily hired Gwyneth Paltrow, Byron’s wife, as the spokesperson.

Chris Martin is not considering discarding the kiss cam segment from their concert as it has been a part of the band for a long time. He also playfully remarked on the viral kiss cam scandal that either Byron and Cabot are having an affair, or they are very shy.
