Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira Kapoor and Kian Raj Kapoor, sought to the high court to get a share in their father, Sunjay Kapoor’s, assets. The children filed a complaint about their father's will being forged, as their names are not present in the will.

Surprising Claims Made by Priya Sachdev’s Lawyer

Priya Sachdev’s lawyer, Rajiv Nair, said that Karisma Kapoor’s children have already received a significant sum from their father’s property. He specifically mentioned that the trust gave the children Rs. 1900 crore.

In response to Karisma's children's claims that the will was not legally registered, Nair said that it was not mandatory to register it as Priya was Sunjay Kapur's last legal wife. Amidst all this, Sunjay’s mother also appeared in the court and claimed that “My son today leaves me with not a roof on my head? I am 80 years old,” demanding assets worth Rs. 10,000 crores.

Priya’s lawyer said, “I don’t know how much is enough”, further adding, “after that, your tone changes and you say you got nothing from the assets… Not as if people are left on the streets.”

Priya, showing concern over her ex-husband, said, “Please have some sympathy for the soul of the deceased. I have a 6-year-old child... You (Karisma Kapoor) were nowhere to be seen for the last 15 years.”

What Did Samaira’s and Kian’s Lawyer Say?

Mahesh Jethmalani, a senior lawyer of Karisma’s children, said Sunjay used to keep all the legal documents organized; however, this is suspicious. He pointed out that this will is not legally registered and does not hold any value.

After hearing statements from both parties, the court has ordered the defendants to get back in line with a corrected will within two weeks. They have also asked both Karisma Kapoor and Priya Sachdev to submit additional property documents in support of their claims at the next hearing. It is reported that the next hearing on this case will be held on 9 October.

To sum up, Karisma’s children said that neither their father nor their stepmother, Priya Sachdev, ever spoke to them about the existence of such a will. The document states, “without a doubt, the alleged will has been fabricated.” Their lawyer also said that Priya's claims “without a doubt” show that the will was fabricated.
