ICC Rankings: India leads the pack

 

Shubman Gill, the Indian opener, ranks at the top of the ranking, beating Babar Azam for the ICC ODI. Rohit Sharma ranks in third position after a Man of the Match effort in the final match of the Champions Trophy 2025 and beats Virat Kohli, who fell back to fifth position.

Ravindra Jadeja has risen to three sports closer to 10th position. Shreyas Iyer ended up as India’s highest run scorer in the CT 2025 with 243 runs in five matches and stands at No. 8.

 

Team India

 

India clinches the Champions Trophy 2025 for the third time, defeating New Zealand by four wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium hosted by Pakistan.

India has also secured the top spot in the ICC ODI team rankings.

Team India has made significant strides in the ICC ODI ranking list for 2025. Star opener Shubman Gill remains at the top of the list, beating Babar Azam with a 784 rating. Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper, jumps two places to the third position following the heroics in the final.

Rohit Sharma smashes 76 off 83 deliveries to help in India’s victory with teammate Virat Kohli, who stands in the top five with a haul of 218 runs for the tournament.

Left-armer Kuldeep Yadav is a big improvement for dropping seven wickets in the tournament, with Ravindra Jadeja also gaining the 10th position.

 

Men’s ODI Rankings

 

Kiwis Daryl Mitchell at sixth, Rachin Ravindra at 14th, and Glenn Philips at 24th make ground in the latest rankings of the ODI batters.

Santner rises one place to the 4th, claiming nine wickets during the tournament, and Bracewell gains seven sports to move to 7th. Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana is the only player ahead of him on the rankings.
