The Hurun Rich List 2025 is out, and Mukesh Ambani is officially back on top. With a net worth of Rs. 9.55 lakh crore, the Ambani family left behind Gautam Adani and his family (net worth of Rs. 8.15 lakh crore). The chairman of Reliance Industries was the richest individual on the Hurun India Rich List 2023 when he surpassed Adani, who had held the position in 2022.
Meanwhile, business tycoon Gautam Adani topped the list in 2024 with a wealth of Rs. 11.6 lakh crore, dethroning Ambani.

Aravind Srinivas, the 31-year-old founder of Perplexity, was named India’s youngest billionaire with a net worth of Rs. 21,900 crore. The youngest entrant overall is Kaivalya Vohra, 22, the cofounder of Zepto, while his partner Aadit Palicha, 23, ranks as the second youngest.

As per the list, 451 of India’s wealthiest persons live in Mumbai, the city with the most billionaires. New Delhi holds the second spot with 223, followed by Bengaluru (116).

The list reflects a growing trend of women entrepreneurs, featuring a total of 101 women on the 2025 segment, including 26 dollar billionaires.
