Nikki’s father said that they were repeatedly harassing her, and on the day of the murder, Dayawati poured kerosene on Nikki while Vipin set her on fire. He further added that “They kept asking for dowry, now their demands have been met because my daughter has died. They demanded a car and tortured her for that.”
