Fatal Train Collision in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur: 5 Killed as MEMU Train Hits Goods Train
On Tuesday, a horrific train accident took place near Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, in the afternoon when a MEMU passenger coach rammed into a goods train. In this incident five were killed and fourteen people were injured.

Those who are grievously injured will be provided Rs. 5 lakh in assistance and the passengers who sustained minor injuries will receive Rs. 1 lakh. A detailed inquiry into the tragic incident will also be conducted soon.
The Commissioner of Railway Safety is set to lead the investigation and will figure out the exact cause and recommend necessary corrective actions. The state government stands in full solidarity with the families who suffered the loss. Emergency helpline numbers have been made operational for public convenience. This coordination is ongoing for prompt relief measures and support.
