DMart Stock Hits ₹4,160 After 15% Surge, Expands to 387 Locations with 10 New Stores Opened

Avenue Supermarts, the parent company of the successful DMart retail chain, performed well in Q3 FY 2024-25. Standalone revenue from operations grew 17.5% to ₹15,565.23 crore from ₹13,247.33 crore during the same quarter last year. This is proof of the solid grip DMart has on the Indian retail sector, further establishing its position as a market leader.

The outcome was enough to increase Avenue Supermarts' stock price. In fact, on the Bombay Stock Exchange, or BSE, its shares rose by up to 15% to ₹4,160.40. Coming off a dismal 52-week low of ₹3,400.00 just some weeks ago, in December 2024.

Store Network: Enhancing Value

The store network of DMart has grown systematically. By 31st December 2024, the corporation had opened its stores to the public at 387 places. During the quarter, it has opened new branches at 10 locations. Such an expansion strategy improves access to tapping emerging markets.

The annualized revenue per store of the retail giant reflects the ability of the company to scale its operations while remaining profitable.

Market Performance and Future Prospect

Avenue Supermarts has constantly outperformed market expectations, which kept investor confidence at a good level despite the overall volatility in the market. Its shares have seen a 52-week high at ₹5,484.00 in September 2024, which means that it is always capable of bouncing back and performing better than expectations.

The numbers of DMart haven’t gone unnoticed by brokerage firms. The rating of "buy" is still maintained by Motilal Oswal, with the target price being ₹5,300 for the company due to good revenue growth and an operationally efficient company.

A Leader in Indian Retail on the Move

DMart is owned and promoted by Radhakishan Damani and family and focuses on offering essential products all over India. The company operates stores in key states such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu, and it has ambitions to go further deep into the Indian retail scene.

Avenue Supermarts has a sound strategy and healthy operational metrics in place. So, it is quite well-equipped to handle the shifting retail environment under which it works. Consistent growth has established this company as an essential player in India's retail industry.
