Users Can Make Specific, Creative, and Mood-based Playlists Using Natural Language Prompts
ChatGPT has rolled out Apple Music integration. It allows users to discover new songs, artists, and playlists through AI-driven conversations. The update makes music discovery easier by keeping everything inside the chat interface.
Users can find music, make playlists, or create music libraries using natural language queries.
ChatGPT Apple Music Integration
Users will be able to use the Apple Music integration to hear samples of the songs on ChatGPT, but they cannot stream songs on the chatbot, according to the reports.
The new integration will also allow users to find songs and artists through conversations with the chatbot. ChatGPT, after knowing the user’s preference, will recommend songs or artists in a similar genre.
ChatGPT wrote in a blog post: “With this app, ChatGPT can connect to Apple Music so all users can search the Apple Music catalog for songs, artists, albums, and playlists-no subscription required. All users can discover music, generate playlists, and listen to clips of music directly within ChatGPT with the help of Apple Music.”
Users can also ask the Apple Music app to prepare a personalized playlist for different occasions. They don't need to mention the name of the song. Even a vague query can provide the song or something similar.
How Should You Use Apple Music in ChatGPT?
The users need to access the ChatGPT app directory by navigating to the Apps section on the ChatGPT app. It can also be found through the following link: https://chatgpt.com/apps
Users should connect with Apple Music and log in with their credentials.
Once the connection is done, users will be redirected to the chat page. There, you can summon the Apple Music app by just writing @AppleMusic.
Different Apps inside ChatGPT
ChatGPT features a limited selection of apps such as Spotify, Canva, DoorDash, Booking.com, Expedia, Figma, Zillow, and Coursera. The company has asked developers to send in their apps for review. Some more apps will be dropping in on the platform in 2026.
Final Thoughts
ChatGPT does not play full tracks; instead, it offers preview clips and focuses on discovery and playlist creation rather than playback. The chatbot will add new content based on the prompt provided.
The update highlights how AI is evolving to become a personal assistant for everyday entertainment, letting users find new songs and build playlists through simple conversations. Spotify was the only music-streaming option available within ChatGPT earlier.
