All Of Us Are Dead Season 2: What to Expect - Cast, Plot, and Release Date
The All of US Are Dead have returned, and this time, they're invading Seoul. After a three-year wait, Netflix confirms All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is back in production, with filming currently taking place in 2o26. The breakout K-drama received 560 million viewing hours in the first month and promises darker, wider world-building that extends beyond Hyosan High's ruins.
For fans still worrying about the cliffhangers, here's everything that's been announced so far.
How did the All of Us Dead Season 1 End?
Most of the students of Hyosan High didn’t make it out alive. The season 1 finale saw many of our favorite survivors survive the bombing of Hyosan. On-jo, Su-hyeok, Hae-ri, Mi-jin, Dae-su, and Hyo-Ryeong are taken into the quarantine camp, and the super zombie Nam-ra bolts when her cravings for flesh become too strong.
Fast forward months later, the group of students, with On-jo at the lead, reunite with the prior class president, who has managed to find a group of other evolved zombies. In the end, we have Nam-ra heading off to join her new group, while the students look on shocked (with Su-hyeok's smile at the end).
Who’s Returning and Who’s New?
The main group of survivors from Season 1 will return, Park Ji-hun ( Nam On-jo), Yoo Chan Young (Lee Cheong-san), Cho Yi-hyun (Choi Nam-ra), and Lomon(Lee Su-hyeok) are all returning, per Netflix’s Tudum announcement. There are new additions, however, some of which are Squid Game actors, Kim Si-eun and Roh Jae-won, and Lee Min-jae (Weak Hero: Class 2), who are playing university students trying to survive the latest outbreak in Seoul.
Twist: Roh Jae-won’s character is part of the National Intelligence Service, and is alluding to a government conspiracy.
All Of Us Season 2: The Release Date Window
Netflix has confirmed that Season 2 of All of Us Dead is officially in production. Though there is no formal release date yet. Season 2 is expected to be released in the year 2026. Season 1 of All of Us Dead was released in January 2022 and was one of Netflix's biggest non-English hits, heightening the anticipation for their next chapter.

Plot: Trauma, New Outbreak & Zombie Evolution.
In Season 2, we leap forward to follow On-jo, now a traumatized university student, in Seoul. Just as she is starting to cope with the trauma, a new wave of zombies emerges, and she must navigate the world without her original group. In addition to this:
- We still do not know the fate of Cheong-san (although Yoon Chan-young's return presumably means we will find out).
- The complex dynamics of Nam-ra as both zombie and human will expand in the new conflict.
- Director Lee JQ has hinted that zombie survival will be a significant aspect in the storyline and that zombies might also evolve.
Season 2 Sets the Stage for High-Stakes Survival and Deeper Storytelling
Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead is ready to bring the action and emotional stakes when it is set in Seoul. Our fates as viewers and the characters have become intertwined and have raised the stakes.
The wait of 2026 feels forever away, but the payoff of more zombies, more world-building and lore, and more unresolved character issues will be well worth it.
