Political Reactions, Security Stepped Up

The killing drew sharp political reactions. AAP leaders condemned the murder and demanded immediate arrests, calling the incident a serious law-and-order challenge.

Opposition parties targeted the state government, alleging a deterioration in public safety after the daylight shooting of a political worker. Police said additional force had been deployed in sensitive parts of Jalandhar as a precautionary measure. Patrolling was intensified, and checkpoints were set up at key junctions.

Residents of Model Town are also left in shock after the brutal murder. “This happened in the morning, near a place of worship. It’s frightening,” said a local shopkeeper. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
