Microsoft revamps Skype by giving it a more vibrant look that will make communicating easy
Technology company Microsoft has updated Skype with new graphics, animated emoticons, and improved loading times. For a better user experience, the organization has also added new performance enhancements and corrected problems. Along with technical improvements to improve the stability and speed of each video conversation, the technology behemoth has also unveiled a new mobile Skype calling experience. Users will now be able to utilize Skype and make video calls with up to 100 individuals for a maximum of 24 hours each day, according to the business.
Additionally, Microsoft has added a new "Today" tab. According to the technology company, it will enable users to share customized news items and reports from reputable sources around the globe without the need for a subscription.
It's interesting to note that the business has also introduced real-time voice translation in Skype. According to Microsoft, it can translate a person's voice in real time and applies AI to make the translated voice sound like the original speaker.
Microsoft has begun distributing a built-in screen recording tool for Windows 11 customers in the meantime. The Snipping Tool in Windows 11 will soon be updated to version 11.2211.35.0, Microsoft revealed in a blog post. For Windows 11 laptops, the update will include screen recording functionality, lessening the need for third-party apps to record the computer's screen.
Microsoft’s much-touted Snipping tool is considered to be among the top tools that are being used by the tech industry. The tool has always made it quick and easy to capture and share content from the PC and with the in-built screen recording feature, the company is also working on expanding these capabilities to even more types of content.
