Kareena Kapoor Khan reacts to Amul’s The Buckingham Murders praise, says, “You Made My Year!”
Kareena Kapoor Khan recently took to Instagram to thank Amul India for a special tribute. The dairy brand has come out with a topical featuring its iconic mascot as Kapoor’s character, Jameet Bhamra from The Buckingham Murders. In the commercial, the mascot is seen enjoying a meal, accompanied by a punny headline: “Baking with Makhan.”
The film, which released on Netflix in September 2024, is a debut for Kareena as a producer. She reposted Amul's tribute, writing, “So humbled and honoured our film is getting the love…my first film as a producer… a film I am so so proud of acting in. Thank you Amul India. You made my year.”
The topical quickly became positive responses. Chef Ranveer Brar, who has also appeared in the popular TV show The Buckingham Murders, wrote enthusiastically, “Amaaazing!!!”. While, Netflix India added to the fun and its Instagram account thought, “It's utterly butterly mysterious.”
Kareena loves food and it is well reflected in her social media posts. Recently, she spoke at length about her love for culinary delights during her speech at NDTV World Summit. When asked about her favourite places to dine in Delhi, she promptly brought up Bukhara at ITC Maurya and spoke about the dishes of that place. She also spoke about street food in Parathe Wali Gali, Chandni Chowk, famous for stuffed parathas. She is not a regular visitor to Chandni Chowk for many years, but she remains an ardent foodie culture enthusiast in Delhi. The caller described the food culture of the city as "gob-smacking.".

Talking about her shared love of food, Khan said, “The whole world knows that I am crazy about food, and I am very unapologetic about it.” Classics like Chhole Bhature and Aloo Paratha have found a place in her favourites. She added, “Biryani, of course, I am a Kapoor yaar. I can go on and on about it.”
Kareena’s love for food extends to her breakfast choices as well. Recently, the actress took to her Instagram and shared a photograph of her breakfast consisting of buttered croissants.
