Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar has launched a new app designed to help managers create rosters based on business needs.
This functionality complements the existing FlexiSeat application, which allows employees to book seats on company premises. The objective is to monitor and execute operational policies at the facility, ensuring maximum control over employee attendance.
Kumar emphasized the importance of going to the office with purpose and suggested staying at the office for at least three days a week as directed by management. Cognizant’s NextGen initiative aims to optimize office spaces for hybrid workflows that align with post-pandemic workflows.
Variable TCS pay associated with office attendance
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has introduced a new system that links the quarterly salary changes of employees to their office attendance.
Employees who spend less than 60% of their time at the plant will not get any variable pay, while those attending between 60% and 75% will get 50% pay. This policy emphasizes TCS's attendance at the plant and encourages employees not to prioritize going to work.

Dell Technologies plans to boost office attendance by using an electronic badge swipe system, VPN monitoring, and a ring.

Infosys’ flexible work-from-home strategies
Infosys’ employee experience platform, InfyMe, allows specific sectors to apply for jobs from home for up to 11 days a month. The company previously required junior and mid-level employees to return to the office ten days a month from November 2020, a move away from competitors that created a five-day work week.
