iOS WhatsApp Users Can Forward Images with a Caption! Update Now

The eagerly anticipated function, ‘Message Yourself’ is currently trickling down to WhatsApp users. Earlier this month, the capability was made available to a select group of users on WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta. With this functionality, users will be able to send themselves notes, reminders, and shopping lists on WhatsApp, and both Android and iPhone users can access it. Through this feature, users of WhatsApp will be able to send themselves texts, files, and other types of data using the new function. This will likely be useful for quickly taking notes and saving significant files in the discussion.

Users still might not have access to this feature, but those who have activated the functionality will see their name followed by ‘You’ on a contact card at the top of the contact list. Users only need to tap on their name to use the feature and send messages themselves in the conversation. Users can send their contact photos, movies, and other media assets using a different application and preserve them safely.

Earlier, WhatsApp users had to rely on a workaround to message themselves on the platform before the Message Yourself function was introduced. But with the new feature, users may only dial their phone number from the contact list to begin a chat. Users will see their contact at the top of the list as ‘Message Yourself’.

Over the past couple of months, WhatsApp has been working on several other features. Recently, there have been reports that the messaging platform is working on voice status in iOS beta for an upcoming iOS update, which would allow users to share voice notes to their status updates.
