iOS 18 Rumored to Integrate AI Functions from One UI 6.1
This year, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series saw many features powered by artificial intelligence (AI), and it was received very warmly by users. Apple doesn’t want to be left out of the AI race and according to several reports, iOS 18 is believed to be heavily packed with AI features and some of them may come exclusively from Samsung.
AI features that iOS 18 will bring could also include the ability to crawl web pages on the Safari web browser similar to what Samsung Internet offers in its Browsing Assist feature.

A new ‘Web Eraser’ feature can also be copied to allow users to remove content from web pages.
Samsung wrote in a blog that iOS 18 can add audio recording to the Notes app, eliminating the need for changes to the Voice Memos app. This mirrors voice recording in Samsung Notes, which allows students to take notes and record lectures simultaneously for additional information.
In addition, Apple is rumored to introduce a unit converter to the Calculator app in iOS 18, which is already available in the Samsung Calculator app. Apple aims to take the Calculator app one step further by adding it to the Notes app.
Apart from these, the coming OS version introduces other features like automatic playlist generation in Apple Music, the Scenes feature in the Canvas app, and AI Health functionality in Apple Health.
Keynote, Numbers, and Page apps are also rumored to be able to yield AI to speed up productivity. Some feedback is also given concerning AI in the Fitness, Mail, and Photos apps, but as for details are concerned there is nothing much said. However, users would have the privilege to use the tools within the app such as the Photo app which is the same with other Photo Assist features.
In addition, Samsung described the ability to use RCS for iOS 18 within the Messages App that will give millions of Android users the added advantage of sending instant messages easily. The SMS lag will not exist anymore between iPhone and Samsung Galaxy users thanks to the RCS support that will connect iPhones to other Android devices that have RCS in stock Messages app.
