Discover the Future of Healthcare AI with Vibe Coding and Compliance at Scale
The healthcare industry is undergoing a significant transformation, all thanks to technological advancements and changing patient needs. According to market insights, the global healthcare AI market is projected to reach new heights in the next few years.
Emids is making waves in HealthTech with one clear distinction: it’s the first to bring forward-deployed vibe coding into healthcare. From its base in Nashville and hubs in Noida, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, the company has carved a strong global presence in Healthcare AI.
In this exclusive conversation, Abhishek Shankar, CEO of Emids, walks us through the company’s pioneering work in Healthcare AI, the future of vibe coding, building future-ready talent, and how technology is reshaping care delivery and business outcomes in the healthcare sector.
What’s the boldest innovation Emids has brought to healthcare AI, especially the ones coming out of the Indian centers that have had a global impact? Can you share a recent use case or project that sets you apart from others?
At Emids, we believe the future of healthcare AI is not just smarter algorithms but smarter ways of building products. One of the boldest things we are working on from our India hubs is a soon-to-be-launched AI-first software engineering platform purpose-built for healthcare. It shifts compliance left into the moment when ideas are becoming user stories and code.
Our domain SMEs bring in hard-earned knowledge gained over the last 37 years from areas like RCM, Payment Integrity, EMR, Member Experience, and Claims, as well as other critical domains for Payers, Providers, Life Sciences companies. Our forthcoming platform turns that expertise into everyday guidance for product managers and developers, so compliance is built in, not bolted on as an afterthought.
Vibe coding and AI are revolutionizing software development, but healthcare remains a highly regulated and sensitive domain. How is Emids navigating the challenge of deploying such technologies at scale, while ensuring safety, accuracy, and trust in patient outcomes?
When it comes to deploying modern AI practices like vibe coding at scale in healthcare, we operate on the principle that safety and trust are not optional. Scaling AI for us is about moving fast without breaking trust. That is why we embed compliance, governance, and Responsible and Unbiased AI (RUAI) principles into the engineering lifecycle from day one, including initiatives like our proprietary AI-first software engineering platform.
We keep human-in-the-loop checkpoints for clinical and business validation, build explainability and audit logs into our systems, and use continuous testing and monitoring to catch issues before they impact patients. This way, innovation moves quickly, but never at the expense of accuracy, fairness, or safety.
What will it take for India to lead in scalable, safe AI adoption in healthcare?
I believe India has a real opportunity to lead the world in scalable, safe AI adoption in healthcare. We already have the talent and technology expertise. The next step is combining that with deep domain knowledge, stronger regulatory frameworks, and ecosystems that allow solutions to be validated at scale.
We do our part by equipping every software engineering team member with strong healthcare domain knowledge. Every new Emidsian undergoes a deep-dive learning journey in our own Emids Academy, so they understand the complexities of healthcare before they ever touch a line of code.
How are Emids’ India hubs shaping your global growth and talent strategy?
Our Talent Triangle hubs in New Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad are strategically located in both North and South India, giving us access to the largest talent pools in the country and to many of the top-tier engineering institutions. These centers are not just delivery locations: they are centers of innovation, product development, and AI experimentation.
They allow us to serve clients worldwide while continuously growing a workforce that blends technical skills with healthcare expertise. This mix of reach, capability, domain expertise, and talent depth has become a real differentiator for Emids in the global market.
