Indian users get early access to GPT-4 and ChatGPT Plus subscription announced via Altman’s tweet
OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus Subscription is now available in India. It will give customers early access to new features such as GPT-4, which was announced in a blog post very recently. The company, OpenAI made the announcement via its official Twitter account.
“Great news! ChatGPT Plus subscriptions are now available in India. Get early access to new features, including GPT-4 today,” read the tweet from the company’s official handle. Customers pay US$20 for the subscription; however, the company has yet to adjust the Indian pricing, so Indian customers must pay the amount in USD each month to enjoy the benefits of this subscription. The new ChatGPT premium version will be based on the most recent GPT-4 language model. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman retweeted the announcement and expressed his love for India on Twitter.
OpenAI claims that the updated chatbot is more creative and collaborative than previous versions. GPT-4 is capable of producing text that closely resembles human speech. It can generate, edit, and iterate creative and technical writing tasks with users. “We’ve created GPT-4, the latest milestone in OpenAI’s deep learning scaling effort,” the company said. With this new version, users will gain access to new features as well as faster response speed. When compared to GPT 3.5, the newly released GPT-4 is more reliable and capable of handling complex instructions. GPT-4, according to OpenAI, outperforms its predecessors in terms of creativity, visual comprehension, and context. It can also collaborate with users on various creative projects such as music, screenplays, technical writing, and so on. OpenAI has improved GPT-4’s ability to handle longer context, in addition to creativity and visual input. The new language model can now process up to 25,000 words of text from the user or interact with text via a web link provided by the user. This increased capability can aid in the creation of long-form content and the facilitation of “extended conversations.” The latest development comes at a time when technology giants are racing to provide the best generative AI to their customers.
