Artificial Intelligence

These days everyone speaks about Artificial Intelligence. For job seekers, AI is emerging as one of the most demanded fields of knowledge. AI is already operating and impacting everything from search engines to online dating apps and online shopping etc. Recent research data display that the application of AI in many sectors of business has increased by 270% over the last four years. No one can assume how AI will evolve in the future. There is a fear of AI robots taking over the jobs of humans in the future.

The world has just started to realize the impact of AI which is releasing major changes in our lifestyles. We don't know what the future will be, how AI will impact the future, but we have the potentiality to adapt to changes. So will it be difficult to prepare for changes that we will be going to face in the future? We should train ourselves to go hand in hand with the upcoming changes.

Of Course, there are challenges as we are already falling behind to make predictions. The rate of change is taking place at a faster rate. It is important to determine and understand the acceleration in the rate of change that is already occurring and also going to occur.

It will be a huge mistake if we think we have plenty of time to get ready and to adapt as said by Suhota, the Chief Innovation Officer and a lecturer at the University of California Irvine School of Law. Robot assistants who can do as much work as humans can are already in use in Japan. It is just a matter of time that such robot assistants will be used in the whole world.  The question is not about applying robots to work, it's the ban of human assistants.

At least now it's time that we can adapt to the changes that AI will bring to the world rather than wasting our valuable time by thinking that there is plenty of time. People are worried about the negative side of AI that AI machines are going to take their jobs, but there is a positive side as well. Machines will make us better in our work as well.

AI is just like a tool, as said by Suhota. But it has the potential to learn high-order forms which are useful for both administrative and professional fields. In the healthcare sector, when Artificial Intelligence is used for initial screening on symptoms, nurses and doctors become free and this gives them time to work with patients that have more serious illnesses.

Humans have creative mindsets, humans can imagine high-level things. Artificial Intelligence can imitate humans but can not recreate human creativity and imagination. Therefore humans are needed and also will be needed in the future to create AI solutions with creativity and to train and manage AI.

We can train today’s generation and prepare them for new AI-based jobs that will be required in the next decade. There will be jobs for data scientists and software engineers, of course. Apart from those tech jobs, workers will also need to have a greater knowledge of how Artificial Intelligence works just to carry on with their jobs. Different jobs will appear along with the evolution of AI tools and technology.

Humans own the quality of flexibility and potentiality to adjust to changing conditions and situations. We have come across multiple ice ages, dealt with rising and falling sea levels, and endured countless floods and droughts. As AI technology develops, humans will need to be flexible to adapt to another streak of change.
