From interpreting sentences, words, scripts (Ex: Google Translator) to entertaining people with its various features (Ex: Siri, Alexa) and helping the government in its military and many other aspects - Artificial Intelligence (AI) which is also known as Machine Intelligence (MI) is playing a vital role in reshaping business models. It's been 63 years since AI has come into existence. The technological advancement attributed to AI will change the logic of business models, transform the lifestyle and living standards of human beings. AI results in a world that is smarter, innovative and it simplifies the way we live. The speed with which AI is entering every sector is forcing companies to adopt AI technology and become AI companies. This is also influencing businesses, strategists, pioneers, entrepreneurs, investors etc... to use AI to design new strategies and create new sources to increase business, grab more people's attention but do you think that AI needs human intervention or not?  AI needs manpower in order to complete its tasks.

According to the Data Quest, it’s said that “It’s still a human behind the machine.”   Human intervention includes supplying information, energy, physically assisting the machinery, modifying the environment to suit the machines, and many as such. It’s also said that there are many reasons behind the failure of AI projects including lack of proper skills, limited understanding of technology within the company, budget limitations, and many such factors. AI will be as good as the data which is fed to it and the data fed to it is determined by a human of course. Also, the way the algorithm is trained determines the success of the AI system. Hence the engineers, developers, scientists designing and developing AI play a vital role in getting authentic results.

  • Reshaping The Innovating Process: There's an Intelligent Agent (IA) which made all real-world applications possible such as taking financial decisions, chatting with people, play games against humans, and working hand in hand with them. This IA can be a machine (industrial and home robots, self-driving cars) or a software agent (chatbots, recommender systems). It takes the data in the form of images, videos, sound, text etc., analyses this data but it lacks logical thinking which can be done only by a human. And AI need human intervention in order set tasks or complete the tasks.
  • Intelligent Thinking and Action Delivery: IA explores the input data to learn correlations, detect similarities, extract features, and discover good representation at multiple levels. This requires the use of AI or machine learning tools like Bayesian algorithms, support vector machines (SVM), decision trees, deep learning networks (DLN), and ensemble configurations. Among these, the DLNs have emerged as the most popular approach in the last few years. Some of the DLNs have reported surpassing human-level accuracy in certain tasks but then it still needs humans to give orders in order to complete the tasks.

Shaping of The Business Contexts with IA and Human

The adoption of AI technology in organizations has also led to the shaping of business contexts (factors that influence the performance of the business) but it does need manpower to operate it.
