Honda is recalling more than 720,800 vehicles in the US. This is due to issues related to high-pressure fuel pumps that may crack down and cause fuel leakage, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on October 22.

Honda Recalls Accord, CR-V Hybrid, and Honda Civic Vehicles

The recall includes models Accord, CR-V Hybrid, and Honda Civic vehicles from 2023-2025, the US auto safety regulator said.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source might increase the chance of getting a fire. The US auto safety regulator also said that the dealers will inspect the high-pressure fuel pump as required.

Honda did not make any comment regarding the incident.

Honda Motor's American Unit Recalled 2.5 Million Vehicles

Previously, Honda Motor's American unit recalled about 2.5 million vehicles over risks of fuel pump failure. This can cause an engine stall while driving and increase the chances of a crash.

The recall includes models such as the 2018-2020 Honda Accord, Civic, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, and some more Acura models.

To address the issue, the dealers may have replaced the fuel pump module, free of charge, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said.

The announcement was made after the regulator issued a recall on about 106,030 CR-V hybrid vehicles.

This announcement was made due to the risk of fire or injury in a crash caused by an overheated battery cable or short circuit.
