Google is working on launching connected flight mode for Android users
Google is developing a 'Connected Flight' mode for Android devices. According to Android Authority, the information was provided by a new patent from the corporation that surfaced online.
According to the patent, the capability will be available on phones, tablets, and laptops. It can detect whether the user is aboard an aircraft. If triggered, the device will automatically transition to Aeroplane mode and then back to regular mode after the user has landed.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections are expected to be supported by the function, which will most likely modify the Wi-Fi settings to the specific sort of connection that the aircraft would allow.
However, if it detects a low battery or bad network quality, it may disengage from the network.
According to the paper, pressure fluctuations, ultrasonic signals, a plane's Wi-Fi connection, and travel booking activities appear to be potential triggers. The procedure occurs "in response to having determined that the sensor has detected information indicating that the mobile computing device is located on the airplane," according to the patent.
