How to Play Wordle
What is Wordle?
Wordle is a daily online word puzzle where you guess a five-letter word in six tries or less. Simple, addictive, and perfect for your morning coffee ritual.
Start with a Guess
Type any valid five-letter English word (e.g., SLATE) and hit Enter.
Watch the Colors
After each guess, the letters will change color:
- 🟩 Green: Correct letter, right place.
- 🟨 Yellow: Correct letter, wrong place.
- ⬛ or ⬜ Gray: Letter not in the word at all.
Use Logic
Based on color feedback, refine your next guesses. Avoid reusing gray letters. Prioritize greens and reposition yellows.
Guess Within Six Tries
If you get the word within six guesses, congrats! You win for the day. Everyone gets the same puzzle daily.
Unlock the Word: Smart Strategies to Conquer Your Daily Wordle
- Reader's Favorite Words: Among the most popular words are TREND, GHOUL, JAMBS, PICKY, FLASH, GUMBO, TRAIL, CONES, DUMPY, SCONE, RUSTY, ROAST, and BEAST.
- Start with vowels: Try words like ‘ERROR’ or ‘ADIEU’ to know about the vowels. In Wordle, words usually start with two consonant pairs like BR or WH, but guessing the vowel is difficult.
- Just a word game, not a ticking clock: Decipher the hidden five-letter word in a daily mental challenge, limited to six insightful tries.
- Start with the same word everyday: Even though it doesn't have a success guarantee, beginning with the same word each time can provide you with a baseline approach for each game.
