Poco has recently announced the launch date of its upcoming flagship F8 series. The news was shared on a post on X (previously Twitter). The Chinese smartphone manufacturer shared that the global launch event of the new series will happen in Bali, Indonesia.

While the company has not revealed features and specifications of the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra, rumours suggest that the devices are global versions of Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro.

Expected Specifications: Snapdragon Chips, Display, and Cameras

Poco F8 Pro will integrate the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a powerful processor built on a 4nm technology, which is acclaimed worldwide for its speed and energy efficiency. Previous results from Geekbench suggest that the device achieves a single-core score of 2,288 points, which is quite impressive. Furthermore, it features a stunning 6.59-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Apart from this, the series is estimated to have a high resolution of 1440 by 3200 pixels and a 526 PPI sharp pixel density. The Pro model includes a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP wide-angle sensor, 50 MP ultrawide lens, and 50 MP 2.5x periscope telephoto lens with the Sony IMX906 sensor. Additionally, the front camera may be equipped with a 32 MP sensor for crisp selfies.

Camera and Sensor Cooling Comparison

F8 Pro is expected to feature a 50 MP primary sensor with the Light Fusion 800 sensor and OIS. This camera hardware is set against competitors like the OnePlus 15, which might use the Sony Lytia LYT-700 sensor. The Pro model's Sony IMX906 telephoto lens, offering 2.5x optical zoom, is designed to support low-light photography.

Realme’s GT 8 Pro will allegedly use the same Sony LYT-700 main sensor. The potential real-world impact of the rumored Snapdragon 8 Elite efficiency for sustained gaming performance is significant.

The chip delivers a multi-core performance increase of over 38% compared to its predecessor. While a specific cooling technology name is not provided, the chip's power and efficiency are essential for maintaining stable frame rates. This is true when compared to competitors in the price segment.

Audio Partnership and Fast Charging Capabilities

According to the estimates, the Poco F8 Pro will see an audio partnership with "Sound by Bose" tuning for its stereo speakers. This tuning aims to offer an enhanced and more cinematic media experience. Its battery capacity is rumored to be 6210 mAh, and it may support 90W fast charging.
