iPhone 17 Pro Scheduled to Launch in India during September, Priced at Rs. 1,45,990 with New Chip and Major Upgrades
Apple is ready to reveal its iPhone 17 series early this September in 2025. iPhone 17 Pro launch date for India is speculated to be either September 9 or 10, with sales starting around September 12 or 19.
What is the Cost of the iPhone 17 Series?
The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to start at about Rs. 1,45,990 in India. The Pro Max version could cost about Rs. 1,64,990. However, the cost of the regular iPhone 17 and the new iPhone 17 Air are not confirmed yet.
The new lineup will have four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the slimmer iPhone 17 Air. The latter will replace the Plus model and may be cheaper than the Pro, but more expensive than the standard iPhone.
What are the New Features of the iPhone 17 Series?
While the Pro model will keep its 6.3-inch display, Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen. All four models may get 120Hz ProMotion displays for smoother scrolling and video. Apple may also use LTPO OLED panels for better battery use.
A major improvement will be the new A19 Pro chip, built on the latest 3 nm technology. It should make the phone faster and more power-efficient. For the first time, iPhones may come with up to 12GB of RAM, making multitasking and AI features smoother.
The camera will also see upgrades. All models may get a 24MP front camera, up from the current 12MP. The iPhone 17 ProMax could have three 48MP rear cameras equipped with a wide, ultra-wide, and a tetraprism telephoto lens. It might even support 8K video recording.
The Pro models could introduce a mechanical aperture that adjusts light for better depth effects, along with a dual video mode to record from both front and back cameras at the same time. The 5x optical zoom will remain a Pro-only feature.
Design changes may include a half-glass, half-aluminium frame instead of titanium, with a new horizontal pill-shaped camera layout. The iPhone 17 Air, expected to be thinner at around 5.5 mm, would look much sleeker.
Apple could also bring in a new, improved Siri that can control apps using voice commands, enabling quicker and easier everyday use.
