Mrunal Thakur is turning the rumor mill into a masterclass in celebrity branding. Addressing the viral claims of a Valentine’s Day wedding to South superstar Dhanush, Thakur took a data-driven swipe at her “well-wishers.”

In a recent interview, she calculated that the organic reach from these fake reports provided visibility worth between ₹3 crore and ₹10 crore. “Itni publicity mujhe kabhi nahi milti,” she quipped, noting that even a massive paid PR campaign couldn't match the sheer scale of the chatter. This “free” buzz comes at a perfect time—just days before the February 20 release of her romantic drama, “Do Deewane Seher Mein,” produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The numbers behind Thakur’s career explain why a wedding isn't on the cards. She is currently juggling a 100% workload across both Hindi and South Indian cinema. She described her daily grind as a “sanyaasi” lifestyle, where strict physical discipline and sleep cycles leave zero room for a personal life.

Despite 14 days of non-stop social media trends, the actor confirmed she remains single. Her “constant partner,” she insists, is the camera. This focus is mandatory for an actor maintaining her current market standing in a competitive 2026 film landscape.

Thakur also revealed she finally hired a professional PR team, but not for “hype.” The move was a security necessity after her home address was leaked to the public. While she uses them for safety, she remains critical of Bollywood’s “excessive PR” culture. She prefers to keep things transparent; if a real-life event were happening, she’d be the first to post it.

With her film alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi hitting screens this Friday, Thakur is letting the rumors work in her favor while she keeps her eyes on the box office. By treating gossip as high-equity marketing, she’s proving that in the 2026 media game, staying silent is sometimes the loudest way to win.
