The wedding of stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda is a huge topic. On February 26, they had a second party for the bride’s culture. This was a traditional Kodava wedding in the hills of Coorg. This kind of wedding does not have an official priest or a holy fire. It is mostly about the family and nature and old ancestors. Both actors looked great in their special outfits for the day. Vijay wore a white coat called a kupya with a gold belt. Rashmika wore a silk saree in the Coorgi way with back pleats.

Many of the couple's old rituals took place during the day. Before the wedding started, Vijay had a ritual shave with milk on his face. Then his mother gave him a bath to make him pure for the day. Rashmika had a ceremony called bale iduva, where she got many glass bangles. One very loud part was when the uncles cut banana stems with a big knife. This is a warrior tradition for the Kodava tribe. Everyone danced to the valaga music while this was happening. It was very loud and fun.

The main ceremony is the Dampathi Muhurtha on a small stage. The couple sat on stools while the family threw rice to bless them. Vijay gave Rashmika a bag of coins as a gift for their life. A cousin also tried to block their path in a funny game. The groom had to pay a gold coin to let them pass by. You can see more Traditional Coorgi rituals at Rashmika Mandanna's wedding, which were done during the big event. The day finished with the Ganga pooje, where the bride carried water from a well. This shows she is strong enough to manage her new home. Many fans loved seeing the couple follow their own roots so much. This wedding is surely a massive event for the year 2026. The two cultures came together in a very beautiful way for everyone to see. No priests were there today.
