Squid Game Season 2 Review- After 3 long years, Squid Game has returned with a gripping second season which dives deep into haunting survival games and the relentless quest of the lead actor Gi-hun (Lee Jug-jae) or player number 456 to dismantle the system. The first two episodes of season 2 focus on Gi-hun’s search for the masterminds taking him back to the game, this time with a mission to end him.

 Season 2 has thrilling sequences and focuses on the characters' moral struggles. Gi-hun’s journey is about his battle against the games as it is about his internal conflicts and he hopes to overcome them. There are some moments of vulnerability and the reflection has added depth to the narrative while the series continues to discover the desperation of a human being.

The writer and director Hwang Dong-hyuk has added a more reflective tone this season by balancing the violent games with poignant human bonds and compassion. 

According to the viewers, this season is not as fast-paced as Season 1, season 2 has shown developing connections between the characters who show their struggles, and vulnerability. The focus on the characters made the viewers care more about their backstories, the storyline of this season is more engaging and features some heartwarming scenes. To be precise, the Squid Game Season 2 is a good mix of suspense and intense action which makes its legacy stronger and showcasing more than just a survival game.
