Netflix has updated the video quality for the blockbuster movie Dhurandhar after receiving complaints from many fans about the film quality. The spy thriller, starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, looked washed out with colour when it first arrived on the app. Netflix acted on the feedback and uploaded a much better version. The movie is now a top hit on the platform worldwide.

Fans Spot Blurry Scenes and Missing Minutes

The digital release of Dhurandhar was a huge event, but the launch experienced some hiccups. On 30 January, fans noticed poor visual quality; the action scenes looked blocky on large TV screens. However, the new update offers an enhanced viewing experience but streams on higher data consumption.

Additionally, there was a problem with the length of the movie. The version in theaters was 214 minutes long, but the Netflix version was initially cut down to 205 minutes. Fans noticed that profanities were muted, and some scenes were also missing. The filmmakers made these changes themselves so that the movie could reach a wider audience across the world.

Why Is the Original Uncut 'Dhurandhar' Missing From Netflix?

Many fans want to know why Netflix is showing a shorter version of the movie. The producers changed the ‘master print’ to avoid political trouble in different parts of the world. As a result, the original version is no longer the official copy.

Netflix usually plays the version the studio gives them. Since the studio gave them the 205-minute version, that is what stays on the app. This means the original 214-minute version might be lost forever. Most Indian movies do not release ‘Director’s Cuts.’ The current version on Netflix is likely the only one we will view henceforth.

This situation shows that streaming fans care a lot about quality. Consequently, Netflix fixed the blurry video quickly; however, the missing scenes are still an issue for movie lovers.
