The internet is fighting again. On February 18, 2026, the trailer for “The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond” came out. It has started a big debate online. Some people say it is “brutal truth.”

Others say it is “pure propaganda” for the 2026 elections. The movie is a sequel to the 2022 film “The Kerala Story.” The makers say this new film goes beyond just one state. They want to show that conversion happens across India.

The trailer starts with a dark warning. A voice says India will become an Islamic state in 25 years. Then the story moves to Rajasthan. A family goes to the police. They filed a POCSO case because their 16-year-old daughter was forced to convert for marriage. Next, the story moves to Madhya Pradesh. It shows a Hindu girl manipulated into marriage and then forced to change her religion. Finally, it shows a story from Kerala. A woman is held captive and force-fed beef after she refuses to convert.

Netizens are divided. One side says the trailer gave them “goosebumps.” They want to support the film. The other side says it is a “manipulation” of facts. Many people in Kerala are mocking the film. They are posting memes of “beef-porotta” to show their culture. Some users asked, “Where is Kerala in the Kerala Story?” because most scenes are from North India. Others are upset because actress Adah Sharma is not in the sequel.

The movie stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha. It is directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh. Vipul Amrutlal Shah is the producer. The film will be released in theaters on February 27, 2026. The makers used a tough caption: “This time, we do not stay silent.” Political leaders in Kerala have already called the film a lie. They say it is meant to create communal hatred. The debate is getting louder every day.
