Amitabh Bachchan speaks up about Aishwarya-Abhishek rumours, says  'Speculations are Speculated Untruths'

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has at last opened up about rumours of his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter daughter-in-law Aishwarya’s separation. The divorce rumours have been the talk of the town for months now after pictures from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding went viral. With this Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya were seen sitting apart from the rest of the Bachchan family members which gave rise to rumors of the split.

The veteran actor only opened up regarding the issue through a comprehensive note he posted on his blog. He described the speculations as “speculated untruths” and stood for his position that family affairs should not be made public. “It takes immense courage, conviction, and sincerity to be different and believe in its presence in life,” Bachchan wrote. “I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain, and its privacy is maintained by me.”

Amitabh also expressed concerns over the authenticity of those stories that are reported by media houses. “Verifications are sought by the seekers to authenticate their business and commercials of the profession they are in,” he said. He asked for the reason behind such rumours and underlined how damaging it is to the people.  “Untruths or selected question-marked information can be a legal safeguard for them that inform, but the seed of suspected belief is sown with this most used emblem—the question mark,” he elaborated.

He labelled media for promoting the culture of doubt to the public more so the youths. “Write express whatever you like, but when you follow it up with a question mark, you are not only saying that the write may be questionable but also quite surreptitiously wanting the reader to believe and expand on it,” Bachchan noted.

The actor also weighed in on this issue of nobody being held responsible for distributing fake news. “If you fill the world with untruth or questioned untruth your job is done. As to how it may have affected the subject individual or situation has been hand washed away from your hands,” he wrote.

On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for the next release as he will be seen in the film I Want to Talk, the film directed by Shoojit Sircar. The trailer has had much traffic, the film is scheduled for release on November 22, 2024.
