Taylor Swift, a worldwide music icon, and Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce had their first public appearance following the announcement of their engagement in August, attending the University of Cincinnati season opener against Nebraska at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night. The couple announced their engagement on August 26 via an Instagram post. 

Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, and teammate Patrick  Mahomes accompanied the couple, who watched the game from a suite. This outing marks a new phase for the couple whose relationship has been public interest since 2023.

Swift and Kelce’s First Appearance as an Engaged Couple

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce toned down their dress for their appearance at Arrowhead Stadium, but still wanted to look good. Kelce donned Cincinnati Bearcats apparel to represent his college, and Taylor Swift went with a gray sweater vest, denim skirt, and knee-high boots.

Swift's outfit complemented the engagement ring on her finger that was designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, featuring a brilliant-cut diamond that was set in yellow gold. The couple’s appearance was their first since sharing photos of the proposal, which Kelce’s father, Ed, revealed happened close to two weeks prior in a specially prepared garden.

The event felt more intimate because of family, with Jason Kelce, Travis’s brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center, attending with the couple. Cincinnati alum Jason totally backed his brother while he wore the letterman jacket and team hat. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, were in the suite to offer more star power. They were watching the Cincinnati vs Nebraska game as they narrowly lost the game, marking the final score of 20-17.
