Full BTS Lineup Returns With New Album in March 2026, Ending Nearly Four-Year Hiatus

BigHit Music stated Thursday that BTS, the K-pop behemoth, will make its long-awaited comeback with a new album on March 20. The release represents the band's first album as a full seven-member lineup in three years and nine months, following its anthology album ‘Proof’ in June 2022.

BTS went on a group sabbatical as its members completed Korea's required military service and pursued solo ventures. All seven have already finished their duty, with Suga being the final to be discharged on June 21, 2025.

BTS Teases March 2026 Album Release Date

The group spread the joy of the new year by presenting printed versions of the handwritten messages as a gift to their loyal fans, the ARMY, who had been Weverse members for three years.

The letters bore the date ‘March 20, 2026,’ which unambiguously disclosed the group's return date and expressed the supporters' appreciation. Soon after the fans got the letters, BigHit gave an official statement that the album would be released on Thursday morning.

BTS Members Share Heartfelt Messages for 2026

In his letter, leader RM stated that he has been “waiting for (this comeback) more than anyone else,” while Jimin and J-hope hailed 2026 as “the year we finally meet again.” Jin commented about the group's return, “I've greeted you as a solo artist over the past two years, and now I finally get to greet you again as part of the team.”

Jungkook continued, “My heart has always remained the same. I'll continue to do my best, like I always have. V promised fans, "In 2026, we'll make even more and even better memories together, so please look forward to it,” while Suga concluded, “Let's have a joyful year together.”
