Apple Maps is a mapping service that is integrated with Apple's devices and operating systems, such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and iOS. Apple Maps provides various functionalities, such as navigation, exploration, transit, traffic, indoor maps, and detailed city experiences.

Improved data quality and coverage: Apple Maps has partnered with MapmyIndia, an Indian mapping company, to provide high-quality and comprehensive map data for India. MapmyIndia has mapped over 7.5 million places of interest, 3 million kilometers of roads, 1.5 million house numbers, and 6 lakh villages in India. Apple Maps also uses satellite imagery, aerial photography, and user feedback to update and refine its map data.

Enhanced features and functionalities: Apple Maps has introduced several features and functionalities that cater to the needs and preferences of Indian users. 

Turn-by-turn navigation: Apple Maps provides voice-guided directions for driving, walking, cycling, or public transport. It also shows traffic conditions, speed limits, lane guidance, complex junctions, and alternative routes.

Detailed city experiences: Apple Maps offers detailed and realistic 3D views of selected cities in India, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Users can explore landmarks, buildings, trees, roads, and other features with unprecedented detail. 

Indoor maps: Apple Maps provides indoor maps for major airports and shopping malls in India. Users can see the layout, amenities, shops, restaurants, and other points of interest inside these venues. 

Look Around: Apple Maps provides an interactive 3D street-level view of selected places in India. Users can see the surroundings with high-resolution imagery and smooth transitions. 

Interactive globe: Apple Maps provides a rich and interactive 3D globe that showcases the natural beauty of the Earth. Users can see the textures and contours of mountains, deserts, forests, oceans, and more.

Siri: Apple Maps works seamlessly with Siri, Apple's voice assistant, to provide hands-free navigation, search, and information. Users can ask Siri to find places, get directions, check traffic, or book rides with Apple Maps.

CarPlay: Apple Maps works smoothly with CarPlay, Apple's platform for connecting iPhones to car infotainment systems. Users can see Apple Maps on their car's display and control it with touch or voice commands.

iMessage: Apple Maps works closely with iMessage, Apple's messaging service, to share locations, places, or directions with contacts. Users can also see their friends' locations on Apple Maps if they choose to share them.

Widgets: Apple Maps works well with widgets, small applications that show information on the home screen or lock screen. Users can add widgets for Apple Maps to see nearby places, traffic conditions, or transit options.
