Amazon Prime Gaming will be available in India soon and this is all we know about it
Amazon may soon launch Prime Gaming in India. Along with Amazon Prime membership, the service will provide free access to several titles. "Unlock instant access to tonnes of exclusive content for your favorite games and a rotating collection of PC games every month with Prime Gaming (included with your Prime membership)," the company wrote on the site.
On its support page, the company mentioned India as an operational market for the service. Nonetheless, users are redirected to a blank page when attempting to access Prime Gaming. Some users made social media references to Gaming’s possible launch in India, which Amazon quietly removed. The company did not respond to a request for comment. The service, which is a revamped version of Twitch Prime, was first launched in the United States in 2016. Amazon PC gaming service, Amazon Prime Gaming, may soon be available in India. The service, which debuted in the country in 2020 but only provided bonus in-game content, will be included in Amazon Prime membership.
It will be a full-fledged Prime Gaming launch, complete with free PC games and exclusive content, just as it is in other countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. According to industry insider Rishi Alwani, Amazon India has set up a dedicated Prime Gaming page on its website, with the message "Prime Gaming is now in India." However, when you select Games or in-game content, an error message appears that says "Prime Gaming is not available." Amazon is thought to be testing its Prime Gaming program in India before a formal launch, which is why there are dedicated banners and a teaser page. According to the page, "you can unlock instant access to tonnes of exclusive content for your favorite games and a rotating collection of PC games... every month" with Prime Gaming. However, it is unclear which PC games will be available in India as part of Prime Gaming.
This month, eight games are available through Prime Gaming in the United States, including Quake, The Amazing American Circus, Rose Riddle 2: Werewolf Shadow, and others. The Indian version of Prime Gaming is expected to provide a similar experience. Although no official announcement has been made by the company, it appears that the eCommerce giant is preparing to launch Prime Gaming in India soon.
