TCS Wins Two-Year Contract to Digitize McDonald's Philippines Operations
In a major step towards global connectivity, India’s largest software services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a prominent two-year contract with Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC), the master franchise holder of McDonald's in the Philippines. With the terms of the deal kept under wrap, the only thing known is that TCS will digitally transform the operations of more than 760 McDonald's restaurants across the country.
Top Goals of the Partnership
- TCS will work towards increasing and enhancing franchisee experience and stakeholder loyalty through its digital program.
- This tenure will also hold prominence in improving process optimization and workforce productivity.
- Furthermore, it will spur innovation and digital transformation in the Philippino market.
How Will TCS help McDonald’s?
TCS will help McDonald’s gain traction through its expertise in cloud migration and digital transformation. It will also enable GADC to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer experience. This will involve modernizing the existing systems and migrating them to the cloud, enabling the fast-food giant to optimize its processes and boost efficiency.
In a joint statement, TCS and McDonald’s said, “This partnership will enable us to leverage TCS's expertise in digital transformation and cloud migration, enhancing our operational efficiency and customer experience.”
Back home, TCS in its statement highlighted the benefits of the digital transformation, including process optimization, reduced operational expenses, and the innovation potential that will drive stakeholder loyalty.
Through this venture, TCS will reinforce its growing global presence in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry, marking expanding its footprint in Southeast Asia. With the demand for digital transformation across industries on the rise, TCS’s ability to deliver innovative, cloud-based solutions could pave the way for similar partnerships with other major global brands in the region.
