Starbucks in 2020 had piloted a test on the cryptocurrency payment app in some of the locations in the U.S. the app was powered by Bakkt, a digital asset platform. Next, the generated value is put in the Starbucks card which gets saved in the Starbucks app. Starbucks also provides the facility of a digital wallet wherein one can convert the crypto payment into USD and use it to reload the card.

Pizza hut corporation now uses crypto as a valid method of payment. It was announced in Venezuela last year.
